Blogging 101: Day Eleven – My First Prompt “Curiosity”
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Curiosity.”
This is the first Daily Prompt – Photo Challenge in WordPress.
I am always CURIOUS.
It is curiosity in man’s nature which drives him/her to understand different fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen in life, it also guides us to attain his/her desires and goals in life either a dream or vision, and something which help us to build communities and develop societies.
Being curious is beneficial as long as we used it wisely.
What is the meaning of CURIOSITY? Noun – a strong desire to know or learn something; or a strange or unusual object or fact.
If it wasn’t for curiosity Newton wouldn’t have ask this “If the apple falls then does the moon also fall?” The Universal Law of Gravitation probably will not exist.
And Einstein would agree, as he said,
The species which has more curious; willing to question; to experiment and challenge the fundamentals; and the way of living had the greatest advantage, survived and evolved into the miracle known as Humanity.
So did curiosity killed the cat? Being inquisitive about the other people’s affair may get you into trouble. Not exactly, if we want to thrive, if we want positive leadership, if we want healthy relationships and communities, a wisely spend curiosity should be invested.
Remember:
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.”
—From the memoirs of William Miller, an editor, quoted in Life magazine, May 2, 1955;Expanded, p. 281

In my opinion curiosity needs to be accompanied by determination and action. If it isn’t, then all these thoughts and ideas will remain unused. I love this post. It really makes me think about the difference between successful and non-successful people.
I believe all of us bloggers are curious about writing and are taking action by sharing our ideas 🙂

I agree with all this with a cherry on top. I have a way of talking about wonderment but too few people are interested. It’s an introvert/extrovert conflict probably – maybe extroverts get more done by not looking up.

Sometimes I am absorbed in myself (and life) too much to be curious, but I try.
Nice post! Did you change your theme or header, or anything? I feel that it looks different somehow, but like it!!

A very enlightening post Jessy. 🙂
Children have immense curiosity. Young children keep asking questions but as they grow-up their questions are suppressed by their parents, teachers and society–so they end-up losing their sense of ‘awe and wonder’ which makes this life look most beautiful and profound mystery. True education is something which helps us retain this sense of curiosity instead of losing it easily.
A nice piece. Well done.
