Writing 101: Day Seven – Hook ’Em With A Quote
Today’s Writing 101,
A blank page can be intimidating. Sometimes it’s helpful to use someone else’s words to give you a boost. Today, use a quote or passage from something you’ve read to introduce your post. You’ll see a similar technique at the beginning of a book or chapter in the form of an epigraph.
The type of quote you choose is up to you. Maybe the passage is something you’d like to comment on, or is one of your favorite quotes. Or maybe you read a great essay the other day, and one of its lines made you think.
Pull a quote of any length, but ideally between one sentence to a short paragraph. If you can’t find one, go to the quotes section on Goodreads.com, where you’re bound to find a line that speaks to you.
The tiniest thing or routine in our life is often the most memorable of all, especially if it makes us happy and grateful.
Sometimes we all just need a walk near the beach under the sun, or we can just listen to music that will give us a motivation, or have a bite of our favorite chocolate cake. Simple things are the best!
If we demand more of material things which are excess, we will be trap to the happiness that is temporary.
And life is short to waste in a mire of anxiety, worry or hatred.
A blogger name MyLastTie once quoted “Let your life be shaped by decisions you made, not by the ones you didn’t.”
Leave a mark in this world.
Have a meaningful life, whatever definition it has for you.
Yet, we are not here forever.
So, enjoy your time here with passion. Make it interesting. Make it count!
I first read the post from a blogger name KindessBlog, and you can check the original post of MyLastTie from Reddit.
Each day, we must pay attention to at least one or two moments that worked out well for us.
I am grateful to eat my favorite chocolate and publish a post in my blog.
What about you?

lovely post, couldn’t agree more. In these busy days where there is pressure to deliver, 24 hrs economy, stress, days are too short to do what is asked we often forget the little things in life that matter most. It’s easy to say ” stop and enjoy what you are doing” but once you are able to do so, you will know what these little things are 🙂
