Blogger Times: Introducing – James of Plus Ultra
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
It is my delight to introduce to you James of Plus Ultra, never stop exploring.
Who is James?
James started to blog Plus Ultra last 2010, which he describe his earliest memories of travel which involved in a 12-hour transpacific flights between Hong Kong and Canada. He also mentioned that the ginger ale that him and his siblings drank to stave off motion sickness, and endless card games they’d played to pass the time.
Why Plus Ultra?
Plus Ultra, which is Latin for “further beyond” was adopted as a personal motto by a young Charles V, future king of Spain and Holy Roman Emperor, in 16th century. This exhortation to take risk, ignore the warning and go “further beyond”. The motto was used by Spanish explorers to venture beyond the limits of the known world.
For James, it is perfectly encapsulates the spirit of discovery that comes with travelling, in exploration he believes that you will learn not only about the wider world but also yourself and your place within it.
James is a travel blogger, I learn so many things not just about him but his idea of travelling, just by reading his post contents.
For him, travel isn’t just about how much you can get out of it, but also how much you can give. (This is just a peek of my informal interview of James which will be posted on 25th of November, 2015, so stay tune!)
I’m so excited you’re here! Welcome! Want a regular dose of my blog posts?
