A young successful businessman Adrian Doria (Mario Casas) has it all: a wife, a baby, and a big known tech company. Hires a prominent lawyer to figure out how he ended up in a locked hotel room with the body of his dead mistress Laura Vidal (Barbara Lennie) lying on the floor covered with money and wounded in the forehead.

The appearance of a new prosecution witness forced Adrian to asked for a witness preparation trainer, Virginia Goodman (Ana Wagener). To find a reasonable doubt to free him from jail.

They have a night of fewer than three hours to come up with a strategy that will appear that the new charge witness’ statement is does not have enough proof.

To come up with the strategy of defense, Adrian has to tell every detail of the story from the beginning, his alleged involvement of a missing young man’s disappearance, and the parent’s victims in distress trying to seek justice.

Rebuilding the pieces of an impossible puzzle against the clock.

My opinion:

This movie is available on Netflix (from the time I posted this review).

The movie is a Hitchcockian type, it is suspenseful, dark, and tense. You can feel the depth of the story and how a defendant (who is already guilty in this movie), can come up any story in the court correlating with the evidence that is admissible.

Though the story was built poorly and in my opinion they can do better with the screenplay.

The actors and actresses did a good job especially Ana Wagener. Predictable at times, it has enough twists and turns to keep you captivated until the truth is revealed.
