Writing 101: Day One – I Write Because…

Today’s Writing 101, here,

Why do you write? This is a question you can answer again and again, as your response might evolve over time. You may have already addressed it in a previous blog post. Some bloggers also use this question, and variations of it, to shape their bios and About pages. Why am I here? Who am I? Why do I blog?

Today, tell us: why do you write? If you’d like to see how others have approached this, here are 23 inspiring quotes from famous authors. The I Write Because project is also worth a peek and is full of personal, honest submissions.

Set a timer and free-write for 15 or 30 minutes without stopping. Begin your post with “I write because . . . ” or start it any other way you wish.

I write/blog because…

I want to be a writer.

I want to have that adventure that a writer has just between his/her keyboard/typewriter or pen and his/her thoughts.

I write because I want to find something out, and in order to learn something that I didn’t know before I write.

I want to learn the proper grammar, the right words to choose, and I want to learn again how to construct a story just by those marching words.

I write to expose my thoughts; happy, inspiring and just be grateful on what we have. To get our thoughts out on a blog for others to see and reading what others have written.

I write because my imagination needs to set free.

And I write because curiosity is my driving force to learn about myself and discover what can I write.
